How do you make your blog more important in the Stampin and Scrapping world

Google has a search engine spider called "Googlebot" that goes out and "crawls" the web looking for websites and ranks them in order of importance.

How do you make your blog more important in the Stampin and Scrapping world?

If you have been posting about our Treasure hunt using KEY WORDS that was just the first step.

Your fellow demonstrators have posted the "LNS web ring or link list" on their blog and you have posted it on yours. External linking was the second step.

All of you should have seen Increased traffic flow. That is the third step.

Do all you can to Increase your blog viewers and subscribers

Posting at least once each week will help your viewers want to go see what is new.

How cool is this!
it was created with SU framelets

This fun card was made during our 3-D card shoe box swap
at our Late Night Stamper pre-convention event at the Radisson SLC Downtown

Asking your viewers to please subscribe will allow each of your posts to end up in their e-mail box every time you post!

Promoting your blog with videos.

Do you already do stampin videos yourself?

I only started this spring but I can see how the younger generation goes to you tube for just about everything they want to learn to do.
My boys have used videos to help them re-build a car engine. Recently they watched videos on how to clean and repair guns.
I think their first video when they were 16 may have been how to blow a 2 litter bottle into the air using a air compressor and water.
I'm glad they are good young men and try to stay out of trouble.

What is my point of all this rambling???
Videos have proven to be a good way
for me to teach long distance customers
as well as help train team members.

The last workshop I did showing how to create multi colored embossing pads helped the orders go over $400.  Many of the customers bought the items I showed them how to use.

Last week a past customer was shown how to make the ornaments off the cover of the holiday catalog. She then ordered everything used to make them.
It's amazing how motivating showing someone something new and exciting can be.
If you haven't already tried to make a video, try it. What do you have to lose?

May I also recommend checking out
She has a ton of great ideas for you to watch and try.

Why Blog - how to use a blog to share what you love

Why Blog?

You are putting a human face to your Stampin Up Demonstrator business. By blogging you are sharing part of YOU in every post.

It would take you 5 or more tweets to say what you can in a single blog post.
You can also show multiple images or photos in each post instead of just one image at a time like Facebook.

By blogging you put your talent and knowledge on display.

Your blog will help you Build Trust
Make sure you have a photo of YOU on your home page
include your first and last name and the town or state you live in.

Provide links to trustworthy sources that also promote paper crafting or other things your readers enjoy.

http://www.scrapbook.com/gallery/
a fun place to go to get ideas

Good Quality photos of your art and PLENTY of them. Many people like to look at photos FIRST then decide if it's worth it to invest time in reading.

Post once a week or more
accumulating posts on your site over time is like a snowball growing in size as it rolls down the hill.

Think of facebook and twitter as tasting tables like the ones they have at COSTCO.
You get a little nibble.
Your blog should help your friends "sit down and stay a while".

What do you do over your Dining Room or Kitchen Table?
You play board games or cards
You eat
You visit and share ideas
You STAMP and Scrapbook

Your goal is to make your blog so much like HOME that visitors will
want to give you their e-mail addresses in exchange for updates from you!

Peaceful Warrior

is a movie I found on Netflix

I think it's worth watching

it stars

Starring Nick Nolte, Scott Mechlowicz, and Amy Smart

I have been searching for ways to encourage to my 20 year old son.
As many of you know he broke his back snowboarding
on Christmas Eve 2011

He's been working hard to re-gain all his physical abilities

I'd love to see him go on to
live his dream.

Stampin Up Regional in Denver Colorado, Denver Temple and Visiting Family

I went to Colorado to visit my family
I flew into Colorado Springs and stayed with my dad and mom for a night.

Then Dad and I went to the Denver Temple.
(The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints House of the Lord)

Throughout history, the Lord has commanded His people to build temples. Temples are literally houses of the Lord. They are holy places of worship where individuals make sacred promises with God.

After the temple my twin sister met us and we went to the Olive Garden for a nice lunch.

Olive Garden Sauce Recipes

Alfredo Sauce
Prep Time:
10 minutes
Cook Time:
10 minutes
Serving Size:

Ingredients

1 1/2 cup milk
1 1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup imported Parmesan cheese, grated
1/2 cup imported Romano cheese, grated
6 egg yolks from fresh jumbo eggs
Salt and black pepper to taste

Procedures

  1. HEAT milk and cream in a heavy bottom saucepan until it begins to simmer. Turn off heat. Slowly whip in cheese, then remove from heat.
  2. PLACE egg yolks in a separate bowl and slowly whip in a portion of the hot milk and cream mixture. Slowly add egg yolk mixture back into remaining cream mixture. Place back on very low heat and continually stir until simmering. Take sauce off heat so it thickens. (This will increase temperature of egg yolks, known as tempering).
  3. SEASON to taste with salt and black pepper. Serve over your favorite pasta.

Friday night we played Bunco with her friends

She made this yummy dinner for everyone

Saturday morning we went to the Stampin Up
