Freshly Made Sketches, Ronald McDonald House Donation and Homemade French Toast

Freshly Made Sketches #104 - A Sketch by Linda S.

I hope my card still counts
since I did change the shape a bit

My son says my tie is short and fat
and the tie tack needs to be higher on the tie

He has worn plenty of them so he should know

Received this nice letter in the mail today
Thanking us for all the hand stamped cards
as well as the cash donated from
our Ronald McDonald House fundraiser.

I love that Alyson took the time to write a personal note.
I love helping out the families
and being able to serve blesses us as well.

Thank you to all my Stampin Up friends
who create and donate cards and envelopes

YOU ARE WONDERFUL!

Thinking of wonderful
I made this for our son the other day and he said it was very yummy
so this morning I got up at 4:45 and made some
for my husband before he went to work.

We don't often talk about ways we serve our own family members
but I feel blessed to have wonderful parents
an amazing husband
good children
and sweet grandchildren
who bless my life
each and every day!

I am also very thankful for the blessings God sends our way
and know he is the source of truth and light.

God gives me the strength to keep going on bad days
and inspires me to serve others on good days.

Thanks for reading
and remember
YOU
are
 WONDERFUL

(((hugs)))

May God bless you and your family,

Flowers, versamark ink and a little embossing powder

Thanks for subscribing to my blog
to get all the fun ideas I'll be sharing

If you wish to ask questions
please e-mail me anytime
lnsconvention@aol.com

Once this cardstock that I painted was dry
I punched out pansy flowers with our Stampin Up punch

Then, using these products
I created this card

The embossing powder is silver

The flowers were easy to mold with my fingers

I also created this card below
with the same products

After I stamped the swirl image
from the Everything Eleanor set
using versamark
I sprinkled the embossing powder
making sure not to cover the entire image
I like how the versamark looks like actual ink on this cardstock.

I entered this card in a Terrific Texture sketch challenge

I also will enter this card

What is a useful way to use the excess rubber from your Stampin Up stamp sets

When I received my stamp set Festive Flurry
I noticed so much excess rubber around the edges

I didn't want to throw it away
so I thought of a way to use them.

Look carefully at the photo below
the 3 small butterflies were made by
peeling the rubber off the foam mount
then cutting the butterfly shape with a
Stampin Up punch

Once cut, put the rubber back on the foam
and trim around it with your paper snips

I also had enough extra rubber to run some through
my Big Shot

as you may be able to tell
each wing was cut then placed next
to eachother when I wanted to stamp with it.

Please let me know what you think about this idea

sweater weather designer series paper was made for fall paper crafting

http://fabfridaystampinchallenge.blogspot.com/

this challenge started Friday September 6, 2013

Fab Friday 26

When September arrives we think of fall
That is what made this challenge so much fun!

The pumpkins are actualy 3 circles layered on top of each other
I rubbed Chocolate Chip ink on the edges before I layered them.

Our Las Vegas Stampers have a 2X2 swap
and so I made 12 of these little pumpkins to use for the swap.
